   Washington Co. Tenn. Bible record-

To this union were born 5 children- Bob, Jim, Hester Mrs. Walker (Bob Walkers mother), Jane now Mrs. Deakins (still living), Mrs. Beard. His second wife was Miss Ester Barkley. They had six children (MAD: see Bible of Robert A. Duncan; the "Joseph" in this paragraph is actually Robert A. Duncan, son of Joseph Duncan Jr. and Polly Allison.)

      Sarah Duncan      "  Jan 31, 1796
      Andrew Duncan   "  July 26 1799
The book doesn't say who was these childrens father. Could he have been the old Joseph 1733 and it doesn't mention his 2 brothers -- I copyed all that was in the bible. As you see the record is very incomplete and very little satisfaction in it. (MAD: no signature)

"Tyler's Quarterly Magazine" Vol.27, 1945 (SLC book 973 B2t)
Pg.114-139, The Bradford Family of Fauquier County, Virginia, By Mrs. Philip Wallace Hiden.
In her research on this family, the writer first had the benefit of studying the little book entitled, "The Bradfords of Virginia in the Revolutionary War and Their Kin," compiled 1932, by Mrs. Nelle Rhea White, a Bradford descendant. Later ... Judge (William M. Bradford (1827-1895) of Chattanooga) Bradford prior to 1884 had received from Mr. Thomas H. Robinson of Fauquier County, also a Bradford descendant, a letter giving a short account of John Bradford's family based on a Bible record made many years before and no longer extant. .... (mention article completed probably 50 years ago, apparently in Genealogical Department of the Chattanooga Public Library.) ...
Dinah or Diana Bradford, also daughter of John and Mary (Marr) Bradford, married John Duncan, Jr., of Fauquier County. The loss of so many Prince William records prevents our having much information on the Duncans, tho they, too, appear successively in Richmond, King George, Prince William, and Fauquier records. According to Mr. Robinson, the children of this marriage were: (1) John, "killed in the Revolution." (2) William, born 1750, married in Fauquier, May 16, 1780, Lydia, born 1756, daughter of Rice and Elizabeth Duncan, removed to Harrison County, Kentucky. (3) Charles died unmarried, was an artificer in the Revolution. (4) Joseph married in Fauquier County Jemima Marr, probably daughter of John Marr. (See article on John Marr.) (5) Rose married in Fauquier County February 11, 1789, Leander Murphy. (6) Leanna married January 18, 1789, in Fauquier County, Goring White, and moved to Russellville, Kentucky. (7) Susanna. (8) Chloe. The writer has no further information on this line.
